Andy Rourke rules!

Hope you all had a music-filled August Bank Holiday weekend - maybe you got to the 'Indie-Pendence' music festival in Mitchelstown? If so, tell me all about it, as I didn't head in that direction. However, it was a real treat for me to see Andy Rourke DJ ing An Brog on Saturday night, the first of his two-night stint there. Being a big Smiths fan (he was bassist with the band), it was such a great opportunity - and an unexpected one - I mean, how often do members of your favourite band frequent An Brog??!! I had a great time - loved the tunes he played (particularly the Smiths ones!) and even got his autograph at the end!! Yes, I too can be star-struck when I want to be! My regret was that my camera let me down - took it out of my bag, only to find that the battery had died. I love photos and how they provide lasting memories which you can recall whenever you want and I would have really liked to have captured that moment... alas, it wasn't meant to be....
