C103 Relaunch.... and Christmas Party Pics.

I'm a bit late with the Christmas party pics....but better late than never. This was the joint 96&103FM Christmas party in the Imperial Hotel, which was a great laugh.
We at 103FM have since become C103 and the new 'version' was launched 15 days ago at 4pm... on my show. Pressure pressure! 'The Best of the 70's, 80's and more' is the new tag-line....so the 'more' reference can be very broad... listen in to get a better idea!
So I am the new drive-time jock between 4-7pm and on Wednesdays we have 'My Six at Six' which sees an invited guest come in and play their own six favourite songs and explain what the sons meant to them. So far we have had Mark Buckley, proprietor of Buckley Fine Art in Clonakilty and Sinead Harrington from The Hope Foundation and they both proved to be very interesting and entertaining.
We also have Geraldine Fitzgerald coming in on Wednesdays to do a TV preview for the week for all us couch potatoes!

RSVP Fashion awards:

Here I am at the RSVP fashion awards last year in the Silversrings Hotel. It was such a glamorous evening, with all the who's who of Cork society out in force, and quite a few from elsewhere in the country as well.
There were a number of categories in the style awards, notably best dressed woman, an accolade that went to Sheena McCarthy of Sheena's Boutique in Oliver Plunkett Street and Best Dressed man was awarded to solicitor Gerald Keane who was accompanied on the night by girlfriend Lisa Murphy, former squeeze of Michael Flatley.
Now, I know these awards were several months ago, but I have finally taken these pics from my archives to celebrate that I am soon to have my very own RSVP photoshoot for the March issue of the magazine!
Below I am pictured with Jackie Dawson, fashion editor of RSVP magazine, with whom I spent a most pleasant morning yesterday in Brown Thomas selecting outfits for the forthcoming photoshoot. Brown Thomas have kindly offered clothes for the occasion and the staff were most helpful in bringing various items to my changing room yesterday. Now roll on the shoot - how exciting!
